According to reports by incident management team members during today’s Area Stakeholder’s informational Meeting held at Bradshaw Mtn. Middle School, resources managing the Goodwin Fire made a lot of progress on their suppression efforts during yesterdays operational period.
The attached map displays the fire’s minimal growth compared to what we have seen over the last few days.
Some fire has reached the top of Big Bug Mesa, but the terrain and fuel type is such that hotshot crews are able to take direct fire suppression actions in coordination with air support resources providing bucket drops.
Yavapai County Representatives attending the meeting stated that as of 1100 today, the community of Walker remains very secure.
