GCFD to implement Austerity Measures effective at 8am December 2, 2020 until further notice

To minimize added exposure potential to our personnel and their family along with working to ensure as disease free area of assembly for our employees the following austerity measures are to be taken by all GCFD members:

Effective immediately family members of our employees and community members are asked to curtail any of their visits, planned or un-planned to our employee’s work locations. Given we have an inherent risk to be exposed such a move will limit any pathogen pass through to family at the job site.

•GCFD personnelwill take measures to increase the frequency with which our infrastructure (stations and apparatus) is sanitized.

•I’ve asked that all currently scheduled public events for the next 30 days to be cancelled and the same will be re-evaluated in two weeks and from that point forward as things continue to unfold.

•Walk up citizen’s seeking information will be served while maintaining 6’ of social distancing, as set forth by our Arizona Governor’s office recommendations.

We know that our community will understand the need of these measures to betaken, and our agency will rescind them as soon as practical to do so in the interest of public health and safety for the you the community of Groom Creek that we proudly serve.
